The Cleveland DISCOVERY study site is a collaboration between Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, bringing together expertise in pediatric clinical care, diabetes research, and community engagement to advance the prevention of youth-onset type 2 diabetes.
Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is a nationally recognized academic medical center with a longstanding commitment to biomedical research, medical education, and innovation. Through collaborations with healthcare partners across Northeast Ohio, the School of Medicine advances multidisciplinary research aimed at improving the health of children and adolescents.

University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is a nationally recognized children's hospital providing comprehensive pediatric specialty and primary care throughout Northeast Ohio. The health system serves a large and diverse population across urban, suburban, and rural communities, creating opportunities to improve health outcomes through inclusive clinical care and research. The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes has extensive experience conducting multicenter clinical research in type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and other endocrine disorders, including participation in landmark NIH-funded diabetes studies. DISCOVERY participants will be recruited through pediatric endocrinology and a network of pediatric primary care practices serving diverse communities across Northeast Ohio.
